The skin is the body's largest organ, the skin "lives and breathes". What we put on our skin can be absorbed into our body, a scientific principle illustrated by nicotine and hormone patches.

Therefore, some synthetic chemicals found, for example, in skin care products can penetrate the skin and accumulate in the tissues with the potential to cause an allergic skin reaction (such as contact dermatitis or eczema) and/or disrupt other systems in the body over time.

This is what we mean at Odylique and is one of the reasons for choosing certified organic body care to reduce the toxic load in the body, just as we choose a healthy (and organic!) diet. Plants grown organically yield the purest oils and extracts, free from contaminants such as herbicides and pesticides. There is, in our opinion, no point in using therapeutic herbal extracts if they contain chemical residues. Research also shows that organically grown plants have a higher level of important antioxidants and vitamins than those that are not organically grown.

Using organic products also means that you are helping to support the sustainability of our environment. It is widely recognized that organic farming is better for wildlife, causes less pollution and produces less carbon dioxide as well as a significantly lower amount of hazardous waste.
