The story began in 2017 when both sisters Nicky and Claire became pregnant. In addition to the roller coaster that parenthood can bring, the duo faced another dilemma. They couldn't find maternity or nursing clothes that felt right. Having always found joy in fashion and clothing, they were surprised at how boring maternity and nursing clothes were.

After talking to friends and realizing that many women felt the same, Nicky ended her 10-year career as a criminal lawyer and joined her sister Claire's business idea and they launched Tilbea. The brand is named after their little girls, Tilly and Bea.

Tilbea's vision is to create fun, trendy and colorful garments that give you the strength to dress and feel like yourself during and after your pregnancy.
